Hanson Heritage Barn Conversion

This Heritage Barn was rehabilitated and converted into a residential dwelling unit. The floors were reinforced to support a new concrete topping and the end wall framing was removed to provide wall to wall glass.

Witzel Dyce was retained to provide the structural design for this four-storey apartment building with one storey of underground parking. The structure was designed using cast-in-place concrete and a Hambro floor system.
The Imperial Renovation and Restoration
New Hamburg, ON
A renovation and addition to an existing three storey masonry and wood framed building originally constructed over 120 years ago. The scope involved a full demolition of the interior finishes to accommodate the extensive structural restoration and reinforcing.
New vaulted ceilings and floor toppings were added to create modern residential units. The three-storey addition accommodated a ground floor commercial space with two storeys of residential suites above. Witzel Dyce Engineering Inc. was retained to provide structural design services.
223 Princess Street Apartment Building

Witzel Dyce was retained to engineer a 220 unit, 17 storey apartment building with three levels of parking. The existing heritage façade along Princess street is to be retained and incorporated into the new structure.
